The initial assessment comprises of a detailed medical history and discussion of the problem followed by a thorough physical examination. We will formulate a clinical diagnosis and treatment plan according to your needs.

Treatment usually comprises of highly skilled manual treatment with specific exercise rehabilitation. We will work collaboratively to achieve your specific goal. All sessions are tailored to your needs

Each session is tailored to your needs and according to the findings of our comprehensive initial assessment.
 

Exercise can be daunting when you are in pain so we always work with you to ensure the treatment plan is realistic and achievable. 

Treatment for back pain can include:

  • Education on the problem 

  • Biomechanical assessment

  • Joint mobilisations or manipulation 

  • Exercise therapy

  • Provision of walking aids or supports

  • Pacing guidance to avoid flare up of pain

  • Acupuncture

  • Muscle patterning correction and correction of movement dysfunctions

  • Sports massage

  • Electrotherapy including ultrasound, pulsed shortwave and TENs

  • Taping

  • General health assessment
